Daigo Sensei with SFJI

Daigo Sensei was a very good friend of Mits Kimura.
We all hope that we can still be active at Daigo Sensei's age
He is 86 years old.
Good Job Cedric and Kevin for the 3 weeks of hard training.

The rainy season is over - 10 days earlier than expected.
Blue skies - 35C - Ideal day to play with water and get
a tan.




Mito - the Team that we were supposed to meet

Originally we were supposed to go to Mito but because of the
Fukijima catastrophe we decided not to go to Mito High School.
William went for a one day visit.
17 athletes - only four of them are under 73 kg.
The rest are all above 81kg with 3 judoka at 110kg.
There are only 16 years old.

We took the train and went an hour south of Akita
to Honjo City where we spent the night at the Honjo High School.
Along with Judo, they have a very strong baseball team.

Dinner with Sannohe Sensei

Sannohe Sensei with his wife took us to a restaurant where they serve Japanese Beef.
A very fine dinner, the meat was amazingly tender.
